IMCCA and Commercial Integrator Announce a New Industry Publication, Collaboration Today and Tomorrow

Independent, agnostic, expert voices will come together to deliver compelling, must-read commentary for the collaboration and AV integration community.

New York, NY (April 5, 2022) – IMCCA, a non-profit industry association for Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C), celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year, and Commercial Integrator, a market-leading publication from Emerald, will produce a quarterly supplement to Commercial Integrator that focuses on all things collaboration from multiple perspectives. Together, the organizations proudly launch Collaboration Today and Tomorrow.

The supplement’s authors and contributors will be experts in the fields of UC&C, commercial systems integration, security, consumer electronics, education, consulting and residential systems installation. The expert opinions that the publication contains will also include insights from industry analysts and the end-user community.

January 7th, 2022. Greetings from Las Vegas! The start of any new year brings us the annual technology conference known as CES.(It used to stand for the Consumer Electronics Show but the group that puts it on does not want that limiting name used anymore.) The show was all virtual last year due to the pandemic, but took place in person this week.However, like everything else right now, it was nothing like normal. The IMCCA today announced the winners of this year’s Industry Impact Awards. Independent judges announced the honorees during an IMCCA webcast entitled “Collaboration Week – The Future of Work.” A nonprofit industry association, the IMCCA seeks to strengthen and grow the unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) category. The association bestowed awards in four categories: Integrators & Service Providers, Distributors & Miscellaneous Organizations, Hardware & Peripherals, and Collaboration Platform New Features.

The IMCCA Inclusion Initiative held a kickoff meeting in September to discuss the mission and future goals for the initiative.

The meeting was hosted by IMCCA board members, Mike Brandofino, IMCCA Chairperson and Dr. S. Ann Earon, IMCCA Founding Chairperson, and led by IMCCA end-users, Anthony DeVergillo and Gary LaSasso from Amicus Therapeutics.
