New York, NY (February 13, 2017) –IMCCA International® in partnership with InfoComm International®, will host a day of Emerging Trends education on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Florida. This special day of insights into the future of the UC and Collaboration industry, held prior to the opening of InfoComm 2017, will feature the inaugural group of Emerging Technology Fellows, experts chosen for their knowledge of critical technology within key vertical markets.

The first of a kind program will feature rapid-fire, 30 minute presentations on specific topics, presented by the Emerging Technology Fellows being honored.  Attendees will be able to join any or all sessions of interest to them. To further add value to the event, Emerging Technology Fellows will be available in an adjacent lounge for ad-hoc, in-depth discussions on their area of expertise, when not presenting.

“We selected our Emerging Technology Fellows for their deep-rooted knowledge of technology that spans across manufacturers,“ said Rachel Bradshaw, Director of Expositions Content, InfoComm International. “It’s our goal that attendees will leave these sessions better informed and ready to get the most out of the show floor.”

“It’s our pleasure to provide timely and actionable information to InfoComm attendees in the rapidly changing world of UC and Collaboration,” said Carol Zelkin, Executive Director, IMCCA. “In light of other industry conferences minimizing or removing their conferencing tracks, our commitment to these kinds of events and our support of the Emerging Technology Fellows becomes even more important for the industry. We believe that events like these will become a staple of our industry going forward, as the information offered by these experts can be used to craft intelligent and cost effective UC and collaborative solutions across a broad range of applications.”

Ms. Zelkin goes on to say that this inaugural group of Emerging Technology Fellows will be personally recognized at the IMCCA State of the Collaboration Industry Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, June 14.

Speaking on behalf of the Emerging Technology Fellows, Dimension Data’s David Danto said, “It is an honor and privilege for us to represent our individual areas of expertise and be asked to present our insights at InfoComm’s inaugural Emerging Trends Day.  We’re each taking our responsibility seriously - to present what has changed in the last year with brief, understandable and actionable points, so that attendees can rapidly come-up-to-speed with the information they need.”

The Emerging Trends Day is part of InfoComm’s expanded Seminar and Workshop Package. For 2017, package programming starts on Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16 at the Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, FL.  In addition to the Emerging Trends Day and InfoComm’s regular training programs, the package includes the Standards Plenary, all manufacturers’ training programs, new solution selling courses, the Digital Signage Summit, and more.

At InfoComm 2016, more than 2,500 attendees opted for the package, which allows them to pay one price for unlimited access to education sessions.
