7:45am – 8:15am – Continental Breakfast, Registration

Early arrivals receive their rewards in the form of coffee, breads, pastries and their choice of the best seats.  They also receive a ticket for the morning prize drawing – a brand new Polycom HDX-4000 High Definition personal video conferencing system!

As breakfast is finished Anne Hardwick, the Chairperson and Treasurer of the IMCCA welcomes the attendees, explains the day’s schedule and gives away the first prize of the day.

 

Morning Program – Telepresence Presentations

 

 Note - Q&A will not be offered during the morning sessions as the afternoon will be set aside specifically for attendee input and consultation.

 

 

8:30am – 9:00am – Welcoming Keynote – How telepresence changes the world of collaborative communication

Duffie White, CEO of TelePresenceTech, considered by many to be the “father of telepresence,” will explain how despite a gloomy business economy, telepresence has emerged as the killer application of advanced technology for saving travel costs and increasing global competitiveness.  This presentation will highlight how corporate decision makers, AV dealers and systems integrators can capitalize on this emerging billion dollar industry.

 

9:00am – 9:15am – IMCCA Presentation - Telepresence Background and Analysis

Dr. S. Ann Earon, Chairperson Emeritus IMCCA, and David Danto, Director Emerging Technologies IMCCA, will present a brief history of the telepresence space with an analysis of the benefits and challenges of the technology.

9:15am – 10:15am – Manufacturers’ and Service Provider’s Forum - Moderated by Dr. S. Ann Earon, President

Marc Trachtenberg, Co-Founder and CEO of Teliris, will provide a powerful and highly interactive demonstration of how Telepresence enables companies to collaborate across distance and still benefit from the Power of Human Presence™. With a real-time connection to renowned UK newscaster Martyn Lewis, Mr. Trachtenberg will demonstrate the virtual meeting experience.  In addition, Mr. Trachtenberg will also highlight other benefits realized from telepresence deployments, including proven cost reductions/ROI, business continuity, carbon reduction, and work/life balance.

As lunch is served, the various manufacturers and end users that have presented will be seated at very identifiable locations throughout the room. Grab a bite, ask some questions and schmooze. Carol Zelkin, the Executive Director of the IMCCA, will highlight the topics covered during the day and point out where the various technologies and services can be viewed on the InfoComm show floor.  The drawing for the afternoon video conference system will also take place. 

3:00 pm – 4:00pm – Refreshment Reception

As the event wraps-up you can head on down to the IMCCA presented HD and Telepresence Showcase and look at some of the systems that were discussed in action – right on the InfoComm show floor.  Please be sure to grab some refreshments on your way out.  Or, feel free to stay and continue to network with your peers in the industry.
