Is there a forum dedicated to educational use of telepresence and HD video?

One of our end-user members writes,"I am interested in getting some dialog going amongst Universities who have telepresence systems so that they can collaborate, share experiences and connect via telepresence. “

This week's answer is provided by the IMCCA.  We are happy to announce a new sub-forum on our LinkedIn site – Educational Telepresence and HD Video.

This subgroup can be used by members of educational institutions and the vendors who service them.  It is for topical discussions regarding HD video and Telepresence that would be of focused interest to this community.  Discussions and posts that do not apply (manufacturer and vendor product promotions as an example) will be deleted.

If this subgroup has little or no activity over the next 90 days we will remove it.  So this is really a chance to show if the requested forum has value.  Be sure to mention / promote it to colleagues in the education arena.   The link is  - http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=4108951

As with our other sub-groups, once you have been accepted into the greater Telepresence and HD Conferencing group (TPHD) no further permission is required to access the sub-group.  However, if you do not ask for membership into the main group, and directly request admission to  Educational Telepresence and HD Video it cannot be granted.
