Telepresence & HD Conferencing User Group Hits Milestone.
Largest Telepresence Community on LinkedIn Site Reaches 1500 Members.
Syosset, NY (April 1, 2009) – In operation for less than a year, the Telepresence and HD (TPHD) Conferencing Users and Professionals Group hit a milestone this week when it reached a membership total of 1500 users on its LinkedIn site (http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/79732/295D352695AE). The announcement was made by Carol Zelkin, Executive Director of the IMCCA (Interactive Multimedia Collaborative Communications Alliance), a non-profit industry association for conferencing technology.
“The soaring online activity of the TPHD User Group is indicative of the strength of and growing interest in this technology,” said Ms. Zelkin. “It is also reflective of the membership and how a dedicated and responsive user community can achieve impressive results in a very brief amount of time.”
The Telepresence and HD Conferencing Users and Professionals Group provides an online environment where end-users and professionals involved in the HD video conferencing field, telepresence field and other immersive technology fields can communicate.
